belt, and they had to leave it for the weekend.  They left
a pathway of unseeded dirt behind it, so they would have a
pathway to drive it out.

Monday, August 20, North Star Landscaping begins work!

Photos of progress from Day #1:

Photos of progress from Day #2

Marty and Nancy return and get to work!

Nancy works on sanding logs . . . on the staircase, on the front interior wall, and the logs for the kitchen ceiling.

It was a big, time-consuming job!!

Marty and Greg work on the laundry room ceiling and walls, and the two closets in there.  Then they move on to the master bathroom ceiling.

They even hang a couple of doors!

I worked on insulating the inside walls of the upper bedrooms.  It wasn't needed for the inspection, but we wanted to insulate those walls for sound.

The insulation isn't stapled in place yet, as Greg was using the nail gun, but the next day we got a "T" for the pneumatic hose line, so I could use the pneumatic stapler, while Greg was using the pneumatic nailer.

I also worked on the insulating the stairwell going downstairs.

Greg and Linda work on the kitchen and dining room.

Marty and Greg have a wonderful idea for the ceiling.  We will use our extra logs between the rows of tongue and groove.  Right now we just have pieces of wood where the logs will be in the future.  First we have to insulate the kitchen ceiling.  Well, we don't have to, but we want to insulate it for sound for the upstairs bedroom.  Then we start on the tongue and groove.

Greg is on the ladder.  Linda is at the saw.

Then we start on the walls.

Look closely, do you see a dog in the picture?  Kira came with us one afternoon and went to sleep, even with the noise of the saw and the power nailer!

And voila, it is done!  It took Greg and I eight days to do the kitchen and dining room ceiling and walls.  Whew!

Greg's sister and brother-in-law help finish our first room with tongue and groove!!!

On Tuesday, July 31st, we complete our first room with our tongue and groove paneling, with the help of  Marty, and Jill and Jim Crouchman.

More friends arrive to help!

Our wonderful friends, Karen and Mark Clemons, visit in July.

Karen, friend extrordinaire, helps free outlets from behind the plastic, and sorts scrap wire for us!

Mark helps Greg and Marty unload a 2,000 pound delivery from Golden Eagle (our last) of interior logs and bathroom vanities and sinks!

It was an afternoon of very hard work!
