The newest members of our wildlife family, Slizinda and Grake, have made a cozy home on the woodpile in the corner of the garage. They are harmless garter snakes, and quite beneficial to the ecosystem. However, the moving truck will be coming soon (a bucket) and the moving man (Greg) will find them a lovely new home, somewhere NOT in the garage. Linda will not be involved.
A beaver - the poor thing had a wound on its back. It had crawled out of the river in front of the cabin to rest on the bank. I hope he made it!
