Monday, June 27th, the crane arrives!

And the talls walls go up . . .

"Tall Wall" in place!  Took about a 1/2 day.  There is a row of lower windows that aren't cut out yet. 

After a week of rain delays, the "tall walls" are ready to go!

And the walls go tumbling . . . UP!

Is Greg wrestling with snakes?

No!  They're service entrance wires from Presque Isle Electric Company for the temporary service panel!

Greg built and wired the panel himself and it got the seal of approval from the electrical inspector! 

(Linda helped a teensy meensy bit - to set the panel in the ground - and it is HEAVY!)

The Tuesday after Memorial Day, the basement floor is poured! Hurray!

Then, on Thursday, June 2nd, the mason starts on the basement walls in earnest! 

Then make a BIG sand box!

Lots of sand is brought in to create a base for the basement floor.

And, pack it down really hard!
